Self-catering luxury in Lochcarron
Cnoc Aluinn is a spectacular holiday home, with an outstanding view. It is a large architect-designed house, built in 2000 to take advantage of the views, with windows overlooking Slumbay Harbour and Island, as well as Loch Carron, and the garden.
We have been many times to Lochcarron. This House was the best we have ever stayed in — by far!

Views from picture windows
This modern house is comfortable all year round, covering 180 m2 with a mainly open plan design, real wood floors, and spectacular views of the landscape. The central heating includes under-floor heating and a wood burning stove downstairs and radiators upstairs. Large picture windows (5x2m) face south east, surveying the extensive and beautiful garden, looking out over the loch and beyond. Whatever the weather and season, views are captivating and ever changing, often with rainbows!
The kitchen, dining area, hall and lounge are open plan, and give a light and spacious feel, looking out onto the upper water garden. The lounge is slightly separated from the dining area, allowing people to share an activity or divide in to groups. Children can play while others read a newspaper.
Accommodation for families and groups
The garden is very private, covering the best part of an acre. It has several ponds and water features, grass, and flowering bushes including a large variety of rhododendrons, primulae and other flowering shrubs and trees. There is car parking for up to three vehicles.
The house has beds for 6 people in 3 rooms. With large public rooms, three toilets, and a style that was built to be lived in, this house is a luxury rarely available on the holiday market.
Amazing views from a lovely house and garden — so peaceful and quiet. Made even more amazing by the Visitors to the garden — 2 red deer stags.
